Welcome to ACT Houston’s website where you can easily access all three locations: Houston, Dallas, and Austin.

ACT Houston’s Alternative Certification Program, meets the requirements set forth by "NCLB – No Child Left Behind" legislation, and is approved by the State Board for Educator Certification to offer teacher certification for all grade levels and all content areas.

ACT Houston offers an accelerated route to teacher certification with a program that is coordinated by experienced classroom teachers and administrators. Classes are taught by master teachers.  Our small class sizes provide the best instructional environment for new teachers. Helping you quickly reach your goal of being in the classroom, ACT Houston provides Field Supervisors who create an ongoing network of support for first year teachers that is not provided with other programs.  Our certification program was developed for teachers by teachers!
